A prominent medical device company had us conceptualize alternative designs for a tray and articulating arm. The mechanism was to be part of their gen 2 opthalmic surgical system.

Three concepts were chosen to be detail designed and prototyped.

The client was able to free up scarce in-house resources and bring a fresh perspective to this integral part of their product.

Working prototypes were constructed to evaluate and further refine the selected architecture.
